Alongside my personal projects, I have spent more than two decades photographing on commission for institutions, organisations and private clients.
These assignments have taken me into a wide range of environments and situations—from the House of Lords and the Palace of Westminster to the University of Birmingham, private houses and historic castles, sporting events, television and private celebrations.
Although the subjects and settings vary, my approach remains consistent: to observe, respond to the moment and create photos that feel natural, considered and authentic.
This selection brings together commissioned work from across that practice. Some assignments have been formal and carefully orchestrated; others have unfolded quickly and unpredictably. In each case, the photographs aim to capture more than the event itself—its atmosphere, character, people and the small details that give an occasion its sense of place.
Together, these photos offer a glimpse into the breadth of my commissioned work and the people, places and occasions I have been invited to document.
